(Planning Commission) Recommendation: It is recommended that the Planning Commission: a. Conduct a Public Hearing; and b. Read by title only and waive further reading and adopt Resolution 2015-03PC titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BELL AMENDING RESOLUTION 2014-62PC MODIFYING CONDITIONS THREE AND FOUR FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2014-06 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 3,005 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING FOR A JIFFY LUBE AUTO SERVICE CENTER AT 4201 FLORENCE AVENUE, BELL.
Resolution No. 2015-02-Approving the FY 2015-2016 CDBG Program Allocation. Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Conduct the Public Hearing for appropriation of the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Community Development Block Grant Program; 2. Read by title only and waive further reading and approve Resolution 2015-02 identifying the CDBG projects and budget for funding during the 2015-2016 Program Year; and 3. Authorize the approved funding to be included in the FY 2015-2016 Proposed Budget.
Charter Amendments for the March 3, 2015 Election. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Provide staff with direction in re preferred strategies for establishing and implementing a City- sponsored Education Public Outreach Program pertaining to the Initial Charter Amendments set for the March 3, 2015, ballot. 2. Make ad hoc committee appointments, if necessary, to implement the City- sponsored Educational Public Outreach Program. NOTE: The City recently established a charter Committee and is in the process of appointing members to this committee who will tasked with the soliciting advise and feedback from the citizens, and recommending future charter amendments to the Council. 3. Establish a budget for the City-sponsored Educational Public Outreach Program.
Award of Contract for Sidewalk Cleaning. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council award the contract for a onetime sidewalk cleaning project to CleanStreet in an amount not to exceed $48,480.
Award of a contract to Pro-Green Building Maintenance for the Janitorial Services. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Terminate the current Janitorial Services contract with Great Cleaning Services, Inc. (GCS, Inc.); 2. Authorize appropriation from general Fund reserves of $50,292 to General Fund-Professional Services; and 3. Award Pro-Green Building Maintenance in an amount not to exceed $397,512 for three years (not to exceed $132,504 per year) to provide Janitorial Services for all City facilities.
Status of Various Grant Awards and Applications.(Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council receive and file this report.
Five-Year Financial Projection: Utility Users Tax Reduction from 10% to 8%. (Council) Recommendation: Take appropriate action.
