(Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the construction contract with PALP, Inc., dba Excel Paving Company in the amount of $309,876.52 for the Street Improvement and Slurry Seal Project 2014/2015; 2. Authorize the City Engineer to approve the expenditure of a construction contingency, if necessary, not to exceed 10% of the contract amount or $30,987.65 for change orders and other unforeseen construction work that may be required to complete the project; and 3. Authorize a budget adjustment to increase the budget amount by $114,864.17 in the Gas Tax Fund.
Establish a New CIP Project titled Rickenbacker Road Improvements within the Gas Tax Fund and Approve a budget adjustment of $137,188 from Gas Tax Reserves to the New CIP Project. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Establish a new CIP project within the Gas Tax Fund titled Rickenbacker Road Improvements; and 2. Approve a budget adjustment of $137,188 from Gas Tax Reserves (Fund #104) to the new CIP project.
Amendment to the Salary Resolution, Unclassified Unrepresented Employee Classification Resolution, and Classified Represented Employee Classification Resolution of the City Council including three newly created employee classifications. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council read by title only, waive further reading and adopt the following resolutions: 1. Resolution No. 2015-09 declaring certain employee classifications as excluded from the Civil Service System, designating such classifications to be unrepresented and at-will, pursuant to municipal code section 2.84.0630 (b), and rescinding Resolution No, 2014-31; and 2. Resolution No. 2015-10 designating and confirming existing units for certain represented full-time and part-time officers and employees of the city, and rescinding Resolution No. 2014-16;and 3. Resolution No. 2015-11 identifying employee classifications, compensation levels and salary ranges for fiscal years 2013-2015 and rescinding Resolution No. 201-32.
Appointment of Member to the Successor Agency Oversight Board. (City Council acting as Successor Agency to the former Bell Community redevelopment Agency) Recommendation: It is recommended that the Mayor appoint a member to the Oversight Board of the Successor Agency to represent employees of the former Bell Redevelopment Agency.
