Prepaid Wireless Utility Users Tax: Board of Equalization Implementation Documents. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the Board Equalization implementation documents for participation in the Mobile Telephony Services (MTS) collection program.
Request for Sponsorship from Eco-Rapid Transit, (Formerly Known as the Orange Line Development Authority), for a Transportation Summit to be Held on November 18th. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Consider the request made by the Executive Director of the Eco-Rapid Transit Line to participate as a sponsor in the upcoming transportation summit to be held on November 18th; and 2. If sponsorship is approved, authorize a budget amendment to utilize the existing fund balance in the City's AQMD Fund (#103) to pay for the sponsorship.
Award of a Construction Contract to Bannaoun Engineers Constructors Corporation in the amount of $519,114.00 for the Gage Avenue Improvement Project. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the construction contract with Bannaoun Engineers Constructors Corporation in the amount of $519,114.00 for the Gage Avenue Improvement Project; 2. Authorize the City Engineer to approve the expenditure of a construction contingency, if necessary, not to exceed 10% of the contract amount or $51,911.40 for change orders and other unforeseen construction work that may be required to complete the project; and 3. Authorize a budget adjustment to increase the budget amount by $ 44,000 in the Prop C fund.
