(Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Conduct a public hearing; and 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and introduce Ordinance No. 1213 titled: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ZONE CHANGE APPLICATION 2016-01, TO CHANGE THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 1.57 ACRES OF 5600 RICKENBACKER RD IN THE CITY OF BELL FROM THE CM ZONE TO THE C-3R ZONE TO PERMIT DEVELOPMENT OF THE BELL OASIS APARTMENT PROJECT
Approval to purchase HVAC unit for the Bell Library from the General Reserves. {Council) Recommendation: it is recommended that the City Council: 1. Authorize the Community Services Department (CSD) to purchase a HVAC unit in the amount of $29,425 for the Bell Library. 2. Authorize and appropriate $30,000 from the General Reserve funds to CSD Capital Outlay budget for FY 2016/2017.
Continued from May 25, 2016 City Council Meeting - Second Amendment to WCA's Contract for Tree Trimming Activities. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve Contract Amendment No. 2 for West Coast Arbohst (WCA), in the amount of $ 74,704 for routine tree trimming activities and emergency tree trimming activities by authorizing the City Manager to execute the contract amendment.
Fiscal Year 2016-17 Proposed Budget. Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Conduct the Public Hearing on the Proposed FY 2016-17 Budget; 2. Review the changes to the budget from the June 8 City Council Meeting; and 3. If appropriate approve the attached resolution adopting the FY 2016-17 Budget.
Authorize the Police Chief to accept and administer the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Grant to reduce the number of traffic fatalities and injuries. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve the acceptance if the OTS STEP grant
Creation of an Alternative Work Schedule for City Staff. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to create and implement an Alternative Work Schedule during the Fiscal Year 2016-17.
Agreement with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore for employment relations training and consulting services. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve the contract with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore for special services in the amount of $ 3,615.00 authorize the City Manager to execute the contract.
Resolution 2016-39- Approving seven organizations to operate Fireworks stands in the City of Bell for the year 2016. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2016-39 - Approving seven organizations to operate fireworks stands in the City of Bell for the year 2016.
Approval of the Engineer's Report and set the Public Hearing to consider annual assessments within the City Wide Landscape and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District with no increase in assessments. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council read by title only, waive further reading and adopt: Resolution 2016-35 approving the FY 2016-17 Engineer's Report for the Citywide Landscape and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District; and Resolution 2016-34 setting July 27, 2016 for a public hearing to consider the levying and collection of assessments within the above-described Assessment District
