(Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve a stipulated award agreement with workers' compensation applicant Gilbert Jara ("Applicant") for 28% permanent disability, Gilbert Jara v. City of Bell (ADJ9805622).
Presentation update for Western Auto Project Site. (Council/Successor Agency to the former Bell Community Redevelopment Agency) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council and Successor Agency receive and file the presentation and any material by Arroyo Seco Development Group.
Professional Planning Services Agreement — Michael Baker International. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve the Professional Services Agreement with Michael Baker International, Inc. for a not to exceed amount of $50,000.
Award of a Five-Year Contract to Sharp Business System for the City Copier and Printing Services in the amount of $122,482.80. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council award a contract to Sharp Business Systems in an amount not to exceed $122,482.80 for 5 years to provide Copiers and Managed Print services and support.
Fiscal Year 2016-17 and Fiscal Year 2017-18 Audit Services Contract with Lance, Soil & Lunghard, LLP. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Lance, Soil & Lunghard, LLP for Financial Statement and Single Audits for Fiscal Year 2016-17 and Fiscal Year 2017-18 for the total amount of $120,460.
Authorize the Interim Chief of Police to apply for the Board of State and Community Corrections {BSCC) funding for pplice gang crime training and mental health outreach. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Interim Chief of Police to apply for BSCC funding.
Bell Streetlight Purchase from Southern California Edison (SCE). (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: a) Approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement and the Light Pole License Agreement for Wireless Attachment Southern California Edison to acquire 805 street lights and authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents; and b) Direct staff to issue the appropriate RFP's to obtain financing options and energy efficient conversion options back to the City Council for consideration.
Award of a Construction Contract to CEM Construction in the amount of $171,250.00 for the Public Facilities Improvements - Treder Park Project. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: a) Approve the plans and specs and construction contract with CEM Construction in the amount of $171,250.00 for the public Facilities Improvements - Treder Park Project; b) Authorize the City Engineer to approve the expenditure of a construction contingency, if necessary, not to exceed 10% of the contract amount or $17,125.00 for change orders and other unforeseen construction work that may be required to complete the project; and c) Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2017-03 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL AUTHORIZING FY 2016-17 BUDGET APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE THE CDBG IMPROVEMENT - TREDER PARK PROJECT BY $140,285
