Consideration of a Resolution ratifying the City Manager's proclamation of a local emergency declaration in response to COVID-19. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2020-14: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER AND DIRECTOR OF CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER'S PROCLAMATION OF THE EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY IN THE CITY OF BELL AND DECLARATION CLOSING CERTAIN TYPES OF BUSINESS AND PLACES OF PUBLIC ASSEMBLY DETERMINED AS NECESSARY TO SAFEGUARD LIFE AND PROPERTY
Consideration to Cancel the March 25, 2020 and April 8, 2020 Regular City Council Meetings. (Council) Recommendation: In light of the extensive staff efforts and the directives of the Governor and the recommendations of the County of Los Angeles, it is recommended that the City Council schedule City Council meetings only once per month. Accordingly, the next regularly scheduled meeting will be April 22, 2020, setting future Council Meetings to be scheduled on the fourth Wednesday of each month, until the Coronavirus is no longer a challenge.
