Consideration of an Ordinance of the City of Bell, California, amending Title 17 of the Bell Municipal Code adding Chapter 17.49 and revising the Zoning Map to Create a Mixed-Use Overlay Zone at those lots from 7020-7030 Atlantic Avenue that are currently zoned C-3. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Open the public hearing; and 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and introduce Ordinance 1254 titled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL, AMENDING TITLE 17 OF THE BELL MUNICIPAL CODE ADDING CHAPTER 17.49 TO CREATE A MIXED-USE OVERLAY ZONE WHICH WILL APPLY TO THOSE LOTS FROM 7020-7030 ATLANTIC AVENUE THAT ARE CURRENTLY ZONED C-3
Request to Set a Public Hearing on July 22, 2020 to Consider the Creation of Liens/Special Assessment to Collect Delinquent Rubbish Fees. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council schedule a Special Council meeting on July 22, 2020 to hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 p.m. to consider the recording of liens to collect the delinquent rubbish fees against the properties listed on the final report of delinquent accounts.
Consideration of Amendment No. 2 with California Consulting, LLC for Grant Administration Services. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve Amendment No. 2 with California Consulting, LLC for a one-year term from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
Consideration of an Ordinance to Temporarily Prohibit the Sales and Use of All Fireworks within the City. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Urgency Ordinance 1255 titled: AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL, EXTENDING THE PROHIBITION OF THE OF THE SALES AND USE OF ALL FIREWORKS WITHIN THE CITY
Annual Appointments of Council Members to Serve on Various Committees. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the: 1. City Council review and discuss amongst each other who can serve on the various committees; 2. Mayor appoint members to serve on the various committees, following recommendations from each council member as to where they would like to serve; and 3. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2020-27 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL APPROVING THE COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS TO REGIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, VARIOUS BOARDS AND AGENCIES
