Consideration of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Agreement between the Gateway Cities Council of Governments (GCCOG) and the City of Bell for the Implementation of the Gateway Cities Innovation Plan. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the MOU Agreement between the GCCOG and the City of Bell and authorize the City Manager to sign the Agreement; and 2. Approve and adjust the FY 2020/21 budget to allocate the salary and costs of the Housing Specialist position and add the position to the authorized positions list in the City Manager’s budget. The authorized amount is $123,770.
SB -1 Street Rehabilitation Project - Construction Award. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Award a construction contract in the amount of $585,000 to Onyx Paving Company, Inc. for the SB-1 Street Rehabilitation Project FY 19/20; and 2. Authorize the Community Services Director to execute change orders to the project in a total amount not to exceed $58,500 (ten percent of the bid amount) for any necessary additional work.
