(City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council direct staff to reduce the Annual Permit Fee from $100 to $40 for Residential accounts and from $100 to $50 for Commercial accounts and direct staff to amend the Master Fee Resolution (Resolution 2018-66) to reflect the change.
Consideration to Proceed with Drafting Amendment No. 3 with Willdan Engineering for Professional City Engineering Services. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council direct the Community Services Director to: a) Draft Amendment No. 3 to the Willdan Engineering Contract for Professional City Engineering Services with the same rates as listed under Amendment No. 2; and b) Return to the City Council meeting of June 9, 2021 for formal approval of Amendment No. 3.
Approve the City of Bell and Los Angeles County Reimbursement Agreement – SCE Streetlights Monthly Charges. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve the Los Angeles County Agreement to Reimburse the City for Southern California Edison Monthly Charges for the Operation and Maintenance of the Newly Purchased Streetlights.
Authorize the Police Chief to accept and administer the FY 2020 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $13,843.00 to purchase (3) Surveillance Cameras, equipment, and installation to provide better public safety for the community. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution 2021-04 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF BELL AUTHORIZING THE POLICE CHIEF TO ACCEPT AND ADMINISTER THE FY 2020 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) TO BE USED FOR PURCHASE OF (3) CAMERAS, SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT, AND THE INSTALLATION COST
