1. Appropriation of Funding for the SELA (South East Los Angeles) Community Vaccination Center for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2021-13 titled: “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL AUTHORIZING A FY 2021-22 BUDGET AMENDMENT TO TRANSFER $287,900 FROM THE GENERAL FUND RESERVES TO THE SELA COMMUNITY VACCINATION CENTER”
Appointments to the Community Services Commission. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that: 1. Mayor and Vice Mayor select the student commissioners; 2. Councilmembers (excluding the Mayor and Vice Mayor) will select the adult commissioners; and 3. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution 2021-14 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL APPROVING THE APPOINTMENTS TO THE COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION
The following Consent Calendar items are expected to be routine and non-controversial. They are acted upon by the City Council and related authorities at one time without discussion. The reading of the full text of ordinances and resolutions will be waived unless a Councilmember requests otherwise. Recommendation: Approve agenda items 3 through 7. 3. It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the Settlement Agreernent with lien claimant Anthem Blue Cross, c/o The 4600 Group, currently $422,679.47, fpr $300,000 in quarterly payments of $50,000. This will resolve the pending medical lien for treatment provided in relation to Applicant's industrial cumulative trauma clajm; and 2. Authorize the Interim City Manager and/or defense counsel to execute the Settlement Agreement. 4. Receive and File the City of Bell and Bell Successor Agency Investment Reports of March 2021. (City Council/Successor Agency to the Bell Community Redevelopment Agency) 5. It Is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the Global Settlemeqt Agreement for the case Edmond Dadisho v. City of Bell, LASC Case No. 20STCV00825, WCAB Case Nos. ADJ10678866 & ADJ10991779, which was made pursuant to the authority from the City Council given at the closed session meeting on January 27, 2021; and 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution 2021-17 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL, AUTHORIZING A FY 2020-21 BUDGET AMENDMENT TO ALLOCATE $265,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND UNRESTRICTED RESERVES TO THE CITY'S RISK MANAGEMENT FUND TO PAY FOR THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE EDMOND DADISHO VS BELL CASE 6.
