Pursuant to Assembly Bill 1234, this is the time and place to provide a brief report on meetings, seminars and conferences attended by the Mayor and City Councilmembers.
LED Illuminated Street Name Sign Project - Construction Award. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Award a construction contract in the amount of $332,983 to Crosstown Electrical & Data, Inc. for the LED Illuminated Street Name Sign Project, and 2. Authorize the Community Services Director to execute change orders to the project in a total amount not to exceed $33,298 (ten percent of the bid amount) for any necessary additional work.
2. Consideration to Authorize the Community Services Director to execute the necessary action plans to allow for the execution of Holiday Street Decorations. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve a Professional Services Agreement with Dekra-Lite Industry, Inc. for the purchase of holiday street decorations for an amount not to exceed $150,000; and 2. Approve lighting and energy efficiency upgrades to 114 streetlight poles through Tanko Lighting Inc. for an amount not to exceed $70,200; and 3. Authorize the Community Services Director to execute any Public Works repairs and upgrades to city infrastructure in the amount not to exceed $15,000; and 4. Authorize the Community Services Director to enter into an agreement with a mobile storage bin company for the rental of four (4) containers for the storage of the city purchased holiday street decorations; and 5. Authorize the use of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding in the amount of $242,700.
Consideration to Approve Amendment No. 3 with Anaya’s Service Center for Fleet Maintenance Services. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve Amendment No. 3 with Anaya’s Service Center for Fleet Maintenance Services from September 28, 2021, to September 27, 2022.
COVID-19 Local Emergency Status Update. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council receive and file this report.
Consideration to Approve Additional Resources for Youth Sports Programming to Allow Compliance with the County of Los Angeles Public Health Office Order. (City Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council provide staff with direction on how to move forward with the new County of Los Angeles Public Health Order regarding youth sports programs.
The following Consent Calendar items are expected to be routine and non-controversial. They are acted upon by the City Council and related authorities at one time without discussion.
